Pan Seared Chicken Bento Box

Our favorite pan seared chicken recipe paired with a plethora of clean side that will fuel your body for optimal health. We like to pair our chicken with broccoli, avocados, green beans and a wild rice. The best part about this recipe is once the chicken is prepared you can choose the options you love to compliment it.

INGREDIENTS FOR THE CHICKEN:
▢ 3 tablespoons olive oil
▢ salt and pepper , to taste
▢ Fresh Garlic, Up To One Bulb, Based On Preference
▢ 2 chicken breasts
▢ 1 cup white wine
▢ 1 sprig of fresh rosemary
▢ Half of a lime
▢ 1 sprig of Sage

DIRECTIONS:

1. In a large skillet heat the olive oil.
2. Season the chicken on both sides with salt and pepper
3. Cook over medium heat and brown the chicken on both sides, then remove and set aside
4. Add garlic cloves to the skillet, stir often, until the garlic is golden. Make sure you watch the pan to ensure the garlic doesn't burn, you want to sweat it out.
5. Add your white wine of choice to the skillet.
6. Cut and toss in sage and rosemary. Let simmer for five minutes, stirring often
7. Add the chicken back into the skillet and squeeze the lime on top.
8. Cover and continue to simmer over medium-low heat for 15 minutes, turning the chicken over half way through cooking.
9. Add additional wine if it looks dry
10. Remove from the pan and use the additional sauce if you'd like over the chicken.
